PinsXP Advertising & Disclosure Rules

Effective Date: November 2025 | Version: 3.0

These rules explain how businesses, event organisers, and creators may publish promotional content (“Ads”) and use Wallet features on PinsXP. They apply to all paid or sponsored posts, event listings, business promotions, influencer content, and Wallet offers on PinsXP.

These rules apply to all paid or sponsored posts, event listings, business promotions, and influencer content on PinsXP. It covers:

These rules must be read in conjunction with the PinsXP User Agreement.

1. Advertising and promotion content standards

At PinsXP we understand that advertising and promotion are key to a thriving business. We ask that you ensure integrity in your advertising and promotional content by:

Being Truthful and Transparent: Substantiate health/efficacy, performance, and environmental (“green”) claims to the appropriate level. Unqualified “eco-friendly/sustainable” claims are not acceptable. Be specific (e.g., “50% recycled plastic”).

Providing Clear Pricing & Terms: State the total price and any key conditions (eligibility, location limits, caps, expiry dates). No hidden fees, surprise charges, bait-and-switch or fake “limited” claims.

Using Honest Comparisons & Reviews: Comparative claims must be fair and supported. No fake reviews, review-gating, or undisclosed incentives.

Avoiding Manipulative Tactics: No false scarcity, fake countdowns, guilt/shame copy, or other UI patterns that hinder free choice. Disclose material edits to media that could mislead (no deceptive deepfakes/impersonation).

Respecting Content Integrity: Ads must comply with PinsXP’s Community Guidelines, Privacy Policy, and Child & Minor Safety Statement. Synthetic media or altered content must not mislead, if edits change meaning, disclose them.

2. Targeting and data

At PinsXP, user safety, privacy, and dignity come first. Advertisers and promoters must ensure that all Ads respect user rights, comply with data protection laws, and never exploit personal information in harmful or unethical ways.

No targeting based on sensitive or protected attributes: Ads cannot target or exclude users based on race, ethnicity, religion, sexuality, gender identity, political views, health conditions, or other legally protected attributes. For example: Ads cannot single out people with medical conditions or religious beliefs.

No high-pressure or manipulative tactics: No false scarcity (“only 1 left!” when that’s not true), fake urgency, guilt-based messages (“don’t let your family down”), or emotionally exploitative ads. Users must be able to make free and informed choices, without coercion.

No predatory financial or medical targeting: Ads must not exploit vulnerable groups with payday loans, miracle cures, or misleading health claims.

No collection of unnecessary or excessive data: Ads may not request personal information unrelated to the promotion (e.g., collecting ID for a simple discount). Any data collected must be limited to what is needed, with clear consent and privacy protections in place. Please refer to PinsXP Privacy Policy for details.

3. Disclosure requirements

Transparency is not optional. If you are paid, sponsored, or receive any material benefit (money, gifts, discounts, commissions) in exchange for posting content, you must disclose it clearly and upfront in the post itself.

Advertisers and promoters must use clear wording at the start of the caption to disclose that you are receiving a benefit for paid or promotional material such as labelling it “ad”, “sponsored” or “Paid partnership with [Brand]”.

You are required to disclose the advert yourself even if the business you’re working with labels the content.

These rules apply even if you were not paid but received a gift, trip or product in return for posting.

Failure to disclose may result in removal of the content, suspension of advertising privileges, and potential referral to regulators such as the FTC (US).

4. Wallet and rewards promotions

Wallet promotions must clearly explain how to earn, how to redeem, eligibility, location limits, caps, and expiry. The adverts must:

PinsXP may geo-restrict or remove offers that breach consumer-protection rules or local laws (e.g., alcohol “happy hour” rules).

7. Email and SMS marketing collected via PinsXP

If you collect contact details through PinsXP and send marketing messages, you must comply with email and SMS laws.
